‘Shorgul‘ Upcoming political drama is based on real life incidents that rocked the nation. The film is all about a romantic drama that takes a political twist. It is set on the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh and brings out some controversial political mind games of high profile dignitaries.

The movie is being directed by Jitendra Tiwari and Prashant V Singh and stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Suri, Hiten Tejwani and Eijaz Khan in pivotal roles. Jimmy will be depicting the role of a prominent politician with a sinister streak. ‘Shorgul’ is based on the story of a friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl that takes a communal twist when the boy is killed.
The film reportedly deals with sensitive real life events that happened in the country in the recent past. The motion poster does not show any actors, but voiceover of television reporters touching upon issues such as ‘intolerance debate’, ‘love jihaad‘, ‘anti-national‘, etc, is covered in the 28-second video, while cut-outs of newspaper headlines are shown in the foreground. Reportedly, the film revolves around the friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl which takes a communal twist when the boy gets killed.Shorgul Movie features Jimmy Sheirgill, Sanjay Suri, Ashutosh Rana, Hiten Tejwani and Eijaz Khan in key roles. It is set to release on 24th June, 2016.
