The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Party announced its complete list of candidates for GHMC Elections 2020 on Wednesday. TRS working president KT Rama Rao finalized the TRS Party GHMC Candidates Full List of contesting the elections, The TRS party has retained tickets to most of the sitting corporators, which include the close kin of a few TRS leaders.

TRS secretary-general and Parliamentary Party leader K Keshava Rao’s daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi was given a ticket again from the Banjara Hills division. Similarly, the son-in-law of former minister Naini Narasimha Reddy V Srinivas Reddy was given a ticket from Ramnagar. P Janardhan Reddy’s daughter P Vijaya Reddy was given a ticket from Khairatabad, Muta Padma Naresh, sister-in-law of Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal was given a ticket from Gandhi Nagar.

Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin was once again given a ticket from Borabanda. Party leader M Anand Goud who missed the Assembly ticket at the last minute because of a mistake in the surname was given a ticket from the Jambagh division. The TRS party gave 55 divisions to BCs, 25 to OCs, six to SCs, and two to STs.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections will be held from 7 AM to 6 PM on December 1, the State Election Commission (SEC) announced on Tuesday. The Hyderabad Civic Polls will be conducted through a ballot box. The Hyderabad Civic Polls Results will be announced on December 4. The nomination of the candidates will be accepted from November 17. The nomination deadline is November 20, the SEC said.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has 74,04,286 voters, including 38,56,770 males, 35,46,847 female,s and 669 voters in the ‘Others’ category. The corporation has 150 wards, and polling will be held at 9,248 centers. The Election Commission had already announced the introduction of e-voting on a pilot basis for select voters in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic. In 150 polling stations, the Election Commission is also experimenting with facial recognition.
