Tiki-Taka is an intense style of play in football, and it does make a cool name for a movie with football as the centrepiece. The Tiki Taka trailer introduces us to the main characters – Parambrata Chattopadhyay as Raju the taxi driver, Emona Enabulu as the African footballer Khelechi Aagjubi, Ritabhari Chakraborty as Bonnie, and Saswata Chatterjee as the PK, the drug lord.
We get glimpses of the humour in Tiki-Taka, and love that it is replete with old-world charm, the kind we enjoyed watching back in the good ol’ eighties and nineties. The premise of the movie too seems interesting. Everyone wants a piece of renowned footballer Khelechi in football-crazy Kolkata. Parambrata Chattopadhyay is cute as the bindaas taxi driver. Saswata Chatterjee impresses with his pan-chewing drug lord act, and African actor Emona Enabulu catches the eye.
