The Devil All The Time Story: ‘The Devil All the Time’ begins with Willard Russell (Bill Skarsgård) teaching his 9-year-old son Arvin (Michael Banks Repeta) to be sincere in prayer. This follows Willard’s haunting memories in combat during World War II. Arvin is bullied at school, and his father instructs him to stand up for himself. The father-son dynamic leads the plot that introduces us to residents of two secluded American towns – Coal Creek, West Virginia, and Knockemstiff, Ohio – both as harsh as they sound. Arvin (Tom Holland) grows up to encounter these people, as their lives intertwine in cruel ways.
The Devil All The Time Review: The Devil All The Time is as distressing as it is compelling. You cannot take your eyes off the screen or the characters, even as the always dark, always gory story unfolds before you. The atmospheric horror engulfs the viewer; the sins committed in the shroud of faith stun.
Early on, a young Arvin is initiated into questionable rites of passage by his father Willard, who tells him, “There’s a lot of no-good sons of bitches out there.” The narrative may seem a bit slow and stretched to some. But honestly, its atmospheric horror and pervasive evil affect one in ways that are subtle and indiscernible, staying with you long after you’ve finished watching the movie.
The Devil All The Time Verdict: The Devil All the Time is relentlessly cynical in its onslaught, and certainly not for those put off by the darkness of human nature. Watch The Devil All The Time Full Movie Online streaming Now on Netflix.
