In the light of coronavirus All educational institutions, shopping malls, cinema halls and public gathering places in Telangana would be closed down from Saturday night up to March 31. As per Telugu news channels, while educational institutions will be shuts in Telangana till 31 March, board exams shall be held as per schedule with the government planning to take necessary precautions to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

Telangana CM K. Chandrashekar Rao held a high-level meeting on Saturday to take stock of the preventive measures being taken on coronavirus. Health Minister Etela Rajender, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP M. Mahender Reddy and other officials attended the meeting.

The first patient who tested positive for Covid-19 in Telangana, in Hyderabad, was admitted to state-run Gandhi Hospital has recovered and was discharged. He will be under home isolation for 14 days. Less than 12 hours after Telangana reported its only Covid-19 patient has recovered, another patient has tested positive for the virus. He has travel history to Italy. He is currently at the isolation ward of a state-run hospital in Hyderabad and is under surveillance.

Meanwhile, Telangana Health Ministry said two more suspected cases of coronavirus have been found and that their samples have been collected and sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune. Test results are awaited.
