Telangana government officials released the Telangana New Secretariat Building Design. According to the sources, the officials said that the chief minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar gave a nod to this new design. It is said that the R&B department approached 15 companies to get the design. As per inputs received, the Telangana New Secretariat Building will be constructed as per East Face planning and with five or six floors.
It is learned that the Telangana New Secretariat Building will consist of the CM office, CM Peshi, Minister offices, and the CM chamber will be bulletproof, special halls for meetings to foreign meetings. After the High Court orders, the Telangana old Secretariat Complex Demolition Works started on Monday midnight.
The High Court last week dismissed PILs filed by activists against the demolition. Last year, the Chief Minister KCR, as he is popularly known, had decided to demolish the existing structure and build a Vaastu-compliant new Secretariat building. KCR had earlier announced to build an expansive new Secretariat to accommodate all offices in one place. The Telangana Chief Minister’s office has meanwhile released the Telangana New Secretariat Building Design.
The Telangana High Court refused to interfere with the State Cabinet’s decision to demolish the old Secretariat buildings and cleared all the petitions filed against the Cabinet decision during last week. Shortly thereafter, the authorities shifted all the computer servers and other equipment along with abandoned vehicles in the old Secretariat. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is learned to have held a meeting on Monday with the Roads and Buildings department who took up the demolition works after getting a nod from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
