Single-Use Plastic Banned in Telangana: The Telangana state government has decided to ban the use of plastic and the manufacturing of plastic goods in the state. On Thursday, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced that the government has decided to ban the manufacture and sale of plastic, which is harming the environment and even putting the very existence of life in danger.

The Single-Use Plastic Banned by Telangana CM KCR was declared during the collectors’ conference at Pragati Bhavan. He has also instructed the officials in order to arrange guidelines for implementing a ban on use along with the manufacturing of plastic products in the state and place it before the state government.

According to an official release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), a decision banning plastic will be taken at the Cabinet meeting to be convened shortly. Previously in the day, an official release from the Chief Minister’s Office said: “The chief minister has decided to ban plastic products as they harm the environment… The CM asked officials to prepare guidelines for this.”

While studying the implementation of 30 days action plan which was taken up in order to make the villages clean and green with the district collectors as well as panchayat raj officer together with the senior officers and ministers at Pragathi Bhavan, Mr. KCR stated that the implementing of the ban on plastic in the state has been deliberated at the Cabinet meeting.
