Veerappan Movie Review Rating: Veerappan is the Ram Gopal Varma directional movie in which Sandeep Bhardwaj, Sachiin J Joshi, Usha Jadhav & Lisa Ray plays the lead role in the movie. The movie is about South India’s most terrifying smuggler who lives in the forests of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. RGV already made a film in Kannada and Telugu Titled “Killing Veerappan”, which involved the details about Operation Cocoon which was planned to kill the smuggler Veerappan.

The story of Veerappan speaks of the rise and fall of the world’s most notorious sandalwood and ivory smuggler, Veerappan. Koose Muniswamy Veerappan (Sandeep) born in the jungles in South India, took to killing while still in his teens. Till he was ambushed on October 18, 2004, he had killed approximately 97 policemen and 900 elephants.
Veerappan movie is an Indian document-drama thriller based on the events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Indian bandit Veerappan. The film is all about the life events of Veerappan who was a bandit of India. The story revolves around the search of Veerappan by a group of Police Officers headed by Kannan. Kannan is a non-conformist, one who would willingly flout rules as long as Veerappan is captured.
Veerappan Movie Review:
The film begins directly with the planning of Operation Cocoon. This was a mission headed by the Commander of the Tamil Nadu Special Task Force, Vijay Kumar, who masterminded the final assault on Veerappan. Vijay Kumar appoints Kannan. The plot tracks the team’s attempts to corner Veerappan. Priya is hired by Kannan to befriend Muthulakshmi so that the STF can get closer to her husband Veerappan. The film has rich production values and brilliant picturization and background score are attractions on the technical front.
Praising the film, critics said that “Veerappan” is director Varma’s best work recently. The film, which is based on Varma’s Kannada docudrama “Killing Veerappan,” features Sandeep Bharadwaj in the titular role, Usha Jadhav as Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi and Sachiin J Joshi as Police Officer.
Final Verdict: Veerappan gives an insight into the life and times of the dreaded bandit with an engaging screenplay. “Veerappan” is Ram Gopal Varma’s best work in recent times.
