The Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan will soon be seen with Jacqueline Fernandez in much-loved Race franchise titled Race 3. Ramesh Taurani has confirmed Salman and Jacqueline will be a part of the first schedule and they are yet to cast other actors in the movie. The cast will start shooting for the film from October 2017.
The first film in this Race franchise had hit the theaters in 2008 which featured Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles. This film of director Abbas-Mustan had turned out to be the 4th highest grossing film of the year.
The second installment of the RACE franchise was directed by Abbas-Mustan and had released in 2013. It had an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan reprising their roles respectively, while Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez were the new additions to the cast of the film. This film was the first one to enter the domestic and worldwide; Bollywood’s 100 Crore Club back in 2013.
Ramesh Taurani, the producer of the Race franchise, had spoken to the paper where he revealed more details about the shoot. He confirmed Salman and Jacqueline will be a part of the first schedule and they are yet to cast other actors in the movie.
He said, “As of now, Salman and Jacqueline have been finalized for the lead while Remo D’Souza is directing it. We are yet to lock the rest of the cast and crew. We start shooting on a set in Mumbai in October, followed by a long international schedule. We are currently figuring out the dates and foreign locations.”
he also confirmed that Race 3 will take a different path from what the first two movies of the franchise took, and will tell a different story. The story is set abroad and will be completely different instead of taking off from the previous two films.
