PVP Files Complaint on Bandla Ganesh: The Jubilee Hills police have filed a case of criminal intimidation, cheating and trespassing against film producer turned politician Bandla Ganesh on Friday for allegedly threatening financer and Tollywood producer Potluri Vara Prasad at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad. PVP alleged that on Friday evening, Ganesh’s aides came to his residence and tried to threaten him. Subsequently, Producer PVP Files Complaint on Bandla Ganesh for Threatening Him. Following this, police filed a case under sections 420 (cheating), 448 (house-trespass) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.
In response, Bandla Ganesh approached the Banjara Hills and filed a counter-complaint alleging Prasad has been threatening to abduct him for the past 10 days. Seeking security from police, he said that Prasad should be held responsible if anything were to happen to him or his family members.
According to Potluri V Prasad, Ganesh owes him Rs 7 crore. Bandla Ganesh had borrowed Rs 34 crore from Prasad to make Temper, which released in 2015. However, Ganesh claims that though he had paid the full amount, Prasad was demanding interest.
Potluri Vara Prasad told a news channel in an interview, “ Bandla Ganesh borrowed money from us in 2013 for the movie, Temper. On the day of the release of the film, he paid Rs 7 crore less to us. And for the past five years, he has been avoiding us.”
Speaking about the alleged threats by Bandla Ganesh, Prasad said, “Three people came to my house in the evening and said that they came to speak on behalf of Bandla Ganesh and tried to intimidate me.” Potluri Vara Prasad alleged that recently when he asked him for the money, Telugu Producer Bandla Ganesh dropped names of ministers Botsa Satyanarayana and M Sucharita, and said, “You can’t win against me.”
