The Bollywood Actress Poonam Pandey Booked for Violating Lockdown Protocols to Internet churning out hilarious memes, Poonam Pandey was on Sunday booked by Mumbai Police for violating the (COVID-19) coronavirus induced lockdown norms, an official said. An FIR was registered against Pandey and a person accompanying her by the Marine Drive Police. She was found roaming in her high-end car at Marine Drive without any reason, the police official said.
“A case has been registered against Poonam Pandey and Sam Ahmad Bombay (46) under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and 188 (Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the National Disaster Act,” senior police inspector Mrityunjay Hiremath told PTI. Earlier in February, Actress Poonam Pandey hit headlines for having registered a case against Raj Kundra and his associates. In her case filed in the Bombay High court, Pandey had stated that Kundra and his associates were using content which featured on her app even after the termination of their contract. On his part, Raj Kundra had clarified that he had left the company which was managing the app in December 2019.
