Oscar Nominations 2017: “La La Land” Received 14 Nominations

Oscar Nominations 2017: La La Land, Damien Chazelle’s musical tale of love and ambition in the City of Angels, received 14 Academy Award nominations on 24th Jan 2017. This number establishes La La Land as one of the three most-nominated films in the history of the Academy, tying with Titanic and All About Eve.

Los Aenjelis classic Hollywood musical drama ‘La La Land’ for the 89th Academy Award nominations in 14 categories received. Oscar 14 is the third film ever to be nominated. The Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress is nominated in major categories including. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the film is a major player. 

‘La La Land’ in 1959 before ‘All About Eve’ and in 1997 ‘Titanic’ was nominated in 14 categories. This time, the two other films that have received the most nominations are the ‘Arrival’ and ‘Moonlight’, whom has been nominated in the categories 8-8. British-Indian actor Dev Patel ‘Lion’ to have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor. A total of 24 categories of this year’s Oscar nominations are announced. Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2017 Oscars. Hollywood and Highland Center on February 26, the event will be in Dolby Thiatr.
