Cyberabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjnar said that all the New Year bashes under Cyberabad Commissionerate limits are banned. “No permission is given for the New Year Celebrations 2021 events at resorts, pubs, clubs, and bars on December 31 night,” the CP Sajjnar said. He also added that a ban is also imposed on the year-ending parties at apartments and gated communities.

CP Sajjanar said that action would be initiated if anyone found violating the orders and asked the public to cooperate with the police. He said that decision has been taken in the view of the corona pandemic. He also said the drunk and drive checks would be conducted across the city and also advised the pubs and restaurants not to run beyond the permitted timings during the New Year 2021.

The Telangana state health department also wrote to the police, excise, and GHMC to impose a ban on New Year celebrations 2021 fearing second wave coronavirus infections. It is known that the health department was put on alert after the detection of a new strain of coronavirus in the UK. Around seven persons out of the total 1,200 who arrived from the UK have tested positive for the virus.
