The National Cadet Corps NCCÂ 70th Anniversary was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at General Krishna Rao Parade Ground in Secunderabad on Sunday. The Senior Division/Senior Wing and Junior Division/Junior Wing contingents representing all nine groups of the Directorate participated in an impressive parade.
For the first time, a contingent of students with partial visual impact from Netra Vidyalaya of Jeeyar Educational Trust also took part in the parade, according to a press release. The parade was reviewed by Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh Sub Area & Colonel Commandant of Regiment of Artillery.
NCC 70th Anniversary Celebrations
The highlights of the parade included tent pegging, horse show, Malkhamb, Platoon mock drill, Military band display, and release of NCC Journal. The NCC 70th Anniversary was also celebrated by all the nine Groups in their respective Group Headquarters locations in both States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
