Musical.ly App: The Popular social media app Musical.ly used for creating, sharing and discovering videos is making its India debut soon. The app allows users to create and edit videos by adding effects to them and claims to have over 240 million users globally.
Some of the internationally known singers available on the app include Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Maroon 5. The app had earlier partnered with the film Jagga Jasoos in India and held a contest where winners got a chance to create videos with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
Raj Mishra, India’s Business Head for musical.ly stated that “Musical.ly app is a one of its kind platform that genuinely encourages youth to put up their talent through their personal and creative interpretations of some of the most popular soundtracks in the world today.”
Eric Zhou, head of Global operation of Musical.ly said that seeing the potential in India, we are not only expanding the creator base in India but also transforming the content creating due to high audience involved with the app. He also mentioned we look forward to working with creators who share same passion and energy.
The musical.ly app is launched in 2014 which allows its users (users) to make short videos, dancing or doing stand-up comedy. Currently, Musical.ly has over 250 million users globally which claim to post over 15 million new Musical.ly every day. The app has witness exponential increase in fans following in only a few months.
