Madam Chief Minister Movie Story:
The Madam Chief Minister is about Tara (Richa Chadha) who belongs to a lower caste and works as a librarian at a college in Uttar Pradesh. Tara is having an affair with an upper-caste student of the college, Indu Tripathi (Akshay Oberoi), but it ends up in an ugly way. Soon, Tara meets Masterji (Saurabh Shukla) who is also from the lower caste and runs a political party for the betterment of his people.
Through Masterji, Tara enters politics and to becomes the first woman chief minister of India’s most populous and politically charged state Uttar Pradesh only to face constant resistance and She becomes the new Chief Minister of UP, and then the movie moves forward with Tara’s journey as the Chief Minister.

Madam Chief Minister is an engaging political drama that sheds light on the class divide and caste politics prevalent in the Indian political system. Richa Chadha’s character as Tara brings to life the hardships faced by a lower caste girl in living life on her own terms and making it to the top position in the state government. However, the twists-and-turns in the movie seem a bit unnecessary and redundant in the film as they do not take the story further.
The first half is engrossing but the second half becomes sluggish and slow and you would need supreme efforts to stop your attention from wavering. The dialogues of Madam Chief Minister are praiseworthy and interesting and will make you applaud with the one-liners. The Madam Chief Minister Movie shows how politics and the greed for power corrupt people and make mincemeat out of them.Â
