Lavanya Tripathi Recreates Kannanule Song: From the past few years, recreating old numbers by the tag ‘Cover Song’ has become the flavour of the season on social media and even celebrities are not thinking twice to go for it. Popular South actress Lavanya Tripathi teamed up with choreographer-cum-dancer Umang Gupta to recreate the iconic Kannanule song from Mani Ratnam’s 1995 cult classic ‘Bombay’.
As an artistic tribute to the director, musician AR Rahman, and singer KS Chithra, the duo performed to the Telugu version of the Kannanule song and released the clip on YouTube. Sharing the video on her social handle, Lavanya Tripathi wrote “I learned always to follow your heart. So I followed my heart and performed on this beautiful song which is closest to my ❤️”

After spending most of her quarantine life in Hyderabad, Lavanya Tripathi recently flew back home to Dehradun in August. Speaking about her experience in hometown, the 29-year-old leggy lass told Hyderabad Times “I almost forgot how beautiful Dehradun was. We have a rooftop gym, so when I see the mountains and fireflies every day, it almost feels like this place has a soul of its own. My parents were delighted to see me and my mum is constantly feeding me all the yummy food she makes. I’ve gotten the chance to spend time with my parents after a long time and I’m making the most of it.”
