Reliance Jio Launched JioPages is the first Indian web browser designed to deliver a safe, fast & uninterrupted browsing experience. JioPages Web Browser gives a personalized & secure web browsing experience and you can now customize your home screen, bookmark websites in Incognito mode, and secure it with a pin.
It also comes with a PIN-locked Incognito Mode and built-in Adblock Plus. JioPages web browser supports eight Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali. Users can select the app language, and also set up their regional preferences from different states on the home screen, and receive the latest news updates in their preferred language to stay updated.
As per the announcement, the browser is based on Chromium Blink, and provides an “enhanced browsing experience through faster engine migration, best-in-class webpage rendering, faster page loads, efficient media streaming, Emoji domain support, an encrypted connection.” JioPages web browser comes with a download manager, QR code scanner, and voice search to ensure a seamless web browsing experience.
Reliance Jio also stated that JioPages was conceptualized and designed entirely in India, although of course the underlying Blink rendering engine was developed with contributions from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Opera Software, Adobe Systems, Intel, and IBM, Samsung, and others. Users will be able to choose a default search engine, and apart from Google other options include Bing, Yahoo, and Duck Duck Go, and JioPages comes with a dark mode theme out of the box, apart from other custom themes.
