The YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy completed Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Ichapuram in Srikakulam today on Wednesday. He has set a record with the longest walk by a politician in the Telugu states. YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy covered the 3,648 km of the state and interacted with over the 2 crore people from various sections of society. The Praja Sankalpa yatra commenced the on 6th November 2017 at his family estate of Idupulapay in Kadapa district.

Though Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy’s yatra was scheduled for 180 days, he decided to extend on the back of the enthusiastic response. Jagan Mohan Reddy covered 13-15 km a day. Earlier, Jagan Mohan Reddy father YS Rajasekhar Reddy and sister YS Sharmila and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu undertook the similar padayatras. Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu went on to become Chief Ministers after their padayatra. Many likened YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra to his father’s marathon that covered 1,450km in around 60 days, but the party feels that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra was much more successful.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra faced many hurdles, including feet hurdles, including feet infections, illness, and rains. It is known the news that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was stabbed in the arm at the Vizag airport while he was on his weekly break to attend court on 25th October. He flew to Hyderabad and took a few days rest and later he started his Yatra again.
