Idhu Namma Aalu Movie Review Rating : Idhu Namma Aalu is a Tamil breezy romantic and comedy entertainer which is written and directed by Pandiraj. The film features Silambarasan, Nayantara and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles. Soori and Jayaprakash portray supporting roles. The other character artists Arjunan Nandakumar and Udhayabhanu Maheswaran have also performed well in the movie.
Produced by T. Rajender and music by Kuralarasan, the film has been in production since 2013. The hero Silambarasan’s home production – Chimbu Cine Arts has produced the film. The movie in the meanwhile travelled through a lot of controversies, twists and turns. At least, the film has got released today. Idhu Namma Aalu Movie Story : The movie is all about a happy going guy Shiva (STR) and his first love and more about the relationship with his fiance Mylaa. The story is all about, how ‘Love’ harms their relationship and how the couple forget their indifferences and reunit for the rest of the story. Director Pandiraj who is known to make wafer thin story into a beautiful screenplay has done it again. Despite the delayed release, this movie proves that it is ‘Worth the Wait’.
Idhu Namma Aalu Movie Review: Simbu’s film is getting fairly positive reviews. People are saying that it is enjoyable ride if watched without any expectation. The comedy parts is the biggest highlight of the movie.The audience say that “Idhu Namma Aalu” is loaded with witty one-liners and the way Simbu takes potshots at himself leaves viewers in splits. His chemistry with Nayanthara works big time and the maturity in their performance have been appreciated by them. Andrea looks cute and gets cent marks for her performance.

Performances: As expected, stand out performances from Simbu and Nayantara form the backbone of this film. Nayantara’s screen presence is in tune with her character and her on-screen chemistry with Simbu seem to fit the bill for a breezy rom-com. Andrea Jeremiah’s extended cameo provides a fresh angle to the entire love saga. The Pachaikili Muthucharam actress looks gorgeous, which is an added advantage. Soori’s comedy sequences, for a change, looks unforced and flows along with the screenplay. It is enjoyable as well with genuine laugh-out-loud moments. Special appearances from Santhanam and Jai manage to bring smile on the audiences’ faces, adding to the overall feel of the movie.
Analysis:The movie has a routine story but with an interesting screenplay. But some draggy portions in second half makes the movie watchable once. The movie has solid cast, witty one liners, excellent songs. But still something is missing ! The movie never moves to interesting lane at any point and that is the only flaw. The movie is all about newly married couples and others can recollect their memories. For those who are about to get married, the movie is an eye-opener.

Final verdict :dhu Namma Aalu is nothing more than a breezy rom-com which is fairly engaging. Could’ve been a lot better but definitely worth your time.
