Harley Davidson Street 750 was launched in India

The Harley Davidson Street 750 bike has been a great success story for the American bike maker in the Indian market. In the form of the Street 750 model, the iconic motorcycle brand has been made accessible to many aspirational bikers in our country.  But it has been more than two years since the bike was introduced in India but hasn’t received any major updates yet.

Taking stock of this situation, Harley-Davidson recently unveiled the 2017 edition of the Street 750 which will be soon launched in India. The Harley-Davidson Street 750 has been updated with ABS and new colour options as part of the changes for the 2017-spec model. The ABS version of the Harley-Davidson Street 750 will be launched in the Indian market in November 2016.

We feel the ABS version of the Harley Davidson Street 750 carries a premium and will be priced at nearly Rs 5 lakh ex-showroom. The stock version of Harley Davidson Street 750 retails for Rs 4.6 lakh ex-showroom. The addition of ABS is a good move by Harley as the weak braking performance of Street 750 was a chink in its armour.

Apart from the addition of ABS and new colour options, no major changes have been carried out on Harley Davidson Street 750. The bike continues to be powered by the liquid-cooled, Revolution X motor developing around 55PS of power and 60Nm of peak torque. The powerplant has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
