The admit card for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 will be released on Friday, January 6, 2017. The exam will take place on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2017 conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Roorkee. Aspirants those who want to pursue Master’s and Doctoral level across the country have applied for the examination. The admit cards for the same will be available on the official website (www.appsgate.iitr.ac.in).

GATE 2017 will be held on 4, 5, 11 & 12 February, 2017. The exam will be held across selected cities in India. It will also be held at International Centers in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.
The Organizing Institute for GATE 2016 is Indian Institute of Science. Every year, the GATE exam is conducted. It is a doorway to postgraduate courses at the Master’s and Doctoral level across the country. For employment process in Public and Private Sector Undertakings Company the score of GATE exam is also used.  Now, on the basis of GATE scores the direct recruitment to Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being done.It primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.

Steps to download GATE 2017 Admit Card/ Hall Ticket:

  • Log on to the official website of GATE i.e. appsgate.iitr.ac.in
  • The homepage will be displayed.
  • Click on the link that says Admit Card for GATE 2017 available to download.
  • Then click on the above-mentioned link and you will be redirected to another page.
  • Enter your Enrolment ID or Registered Email Address and Password in the provided fields.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Download the Hall Ticket and save it properly.
  •  Take a printout for further reference.
GATE 2017 Hall Tickets will contain the candidate’s details, exam paper, exam center address and code, date and time, photograph and signature.

Note: Along with at least one original (not photocopy or scanned copy) valid photo identification proof (for example valid passport/PAN CARD/Voter ID/Aadhar UID/Valid College ID/Employee ID/Driving License, the admit card must be presented for verification during the examination.
GATE 2017 exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology – IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. This year, GATE is being conducted by IIT Roorkee.An online computer-based test, GATE 2017 will be held for 23 disciplines.
