Coolpad launches Note 3 Plus at Rs 8,999 India

Coolpad Note 3 Plus Review: Chinese smartphone brand Coolpad has launched a ‘Plus-sized’ version of its Note 3 smartphone, called the Note 3 Plus. The Note 3 Plus as you would expect, packs in a better display sporting a higher resolution and has been priced at Rs 8,999, which is a tad bit higher compared to the Note 3’s current Rs 8,499 price tag. The smartphone will go on sale on Amazon India starting May 13.
What you get with the Coolpad Note 3 Plus is a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display instead of the HD (1280 x 720 pixels) unit on the original Note 3. On the outside, the handset looks identical to the Coolpad Note 3 and the Plus even packs in a fingerprint reader on the back.
This is more so because its successor (the Note 3) also packed in a 5.5-inch display. Inside, everything pretty much remains the same. There’s a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek 6753 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
As for the cameras, you get a 13MP unit with an LED flash on the back, while a 5MP unit on the front takes care of selfies. Connectivity options include the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, 4G bands and a handy FM Radio. The handset weighs in at 168 grams and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.
