The AAP chief had been attacked earlier as well during the roadshows. While campaigning for the 2015 assembly elections, a rickshaw driver slapped Kejriwal which caused him a brief concussion. Following the assault, Kejriwal traced down the man to learn the reason behind his anger. On meeting the Delhi CM, the attacker broke down and apologized.
