Amazon Echo Dot, Prime Music Are Coming Soon to India

The Amazon India is gearing up to launch its own artificially intelligent voice assistant Alexa-powered smart home device Echo Dot and Prime Music in the country by this Diwali, reported Gadgets 360.
Reportedly, the company has been testing the Echo Dot at its office in Bangalore for quite some time now. However, at the time of launch Amazon’s larger and more expensive smart speaker, Echo, will not be available in India.
Echo Dots is capable of performing a lot of tasks including supporting a range of music integrations and other significant and useful skills. However, most of the music services that the device supports in the Western market, such as Spotify and Pandora, are not available in India.
So, in India, the Echo Dot will support Prime Music and Gaana said the report. However, Apple Music and Google Play Music will not be available via Amazon’s Echo devices in the country.
Echo Dot will carry a price tag of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 6,000 in India.Prime Music, on the other hand, will most probably be a part of the Amazon Prime subscription service, which the e-commerce giant had launched last year in India. It is being offered at a discounted price of Rs. 499, which would be increased soon.
