Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira Hindi Movie Full Review & Rating (3/5) Public Talk – Akira Movie Hit or Flop Review :
Akira Review Rating : Akira hindi movie as a remake of the Tamil hit movie named Mouna Guru (2011), Akira film has been directed by AR Murugadoss. Akira is an intelligent thriller that keeps you glued to your seat throughout the length of the film. With Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role, Akira also marks the acting debut of super talented director, Anurag Kashyap. Others talented actors including Konkana Sen Sharma, Amit Sadh, Teena Singh, Urmila Mahanta and Atul Kulkarni are also seen in important roles.
Story : The Movie is about Akira, a girl who was brought up with thoughts of boldness and bravery instilled in her through her dad who had decided it’s best she learns Karate instead of Bharatanatyam. On the other hand is the antagonist, a subtly insane but definitely rogue cop who is up to mischief after mischief only trying to cover up the previous ones. What happens when the beauty-meets-beast; girl gets mixed up in the rogue cop’s scheme is a Bollywood ballad we’ve been hearing time and again but this time around, it comes with a tangy flavor.
Performances : Let’s take a moment to appreciate Sonakshi Sinha’s guts to this film. And let us tell you that throughout the film, the lady has shown full confidence in her acting as she knows, she is doing an amazing job! We totally loved the badass avatar of Sonakshi in the film. What amused us the most, is how she excels in different emotional frames like a pro! No need to say that her high-octane action sequences are the major highlights of the film and she sizzles in those frames!
Akira Music: The music album of Akira has “Rajj Rajj Ke” as the opening track. It is high on beats and is perhaps the track that portrays an angst-ridden Akira in the best possible manner. The track has a lot of resemblance to Badlapur’s “Jee Karda” and has been shot in a similar way. Available in three different versions, “Rajj Rajj Ke” has one of its versions sung by the lead actor herself, Sonakshi Sinha. The original track has been superbly sung by Nahid Afrin and Vishal Dadlani and the remix version is for the club houses.
Positive Points: Actress Sonakshi Sinha’s outstanding performance has been the major positive of the film. Plus, the story, screenplay, action sequences and the twists in the script make Akira a must-watch flick.
Negative Points: Some of the haphazard twists in the second half might disappoint the viewers somewhat.
