Wrong Finger Inked when Ajith Voted in Assembly Polls
Ajith visited a Tiruvanmiyur polling booth at 07:15 a.m. along with actress-wife Shalini and actress sister-in-law Shamli to vote in the Assembly poll held yesterday throughout the State. Soon after casting his vote, Ajith displayed the ink on the finger and unlike it is usually done, Ajith displayed all the five fingers instead of the inked finger as the ink had been wrongly applied on the middle-finger of his left hand.
The polling official, who was apparently surprised to find Ajith coming so soon to the polling booth, reportedly applied ink wrongly on the middle-finger of Ajith’s left hand contrary to the usual practice of applying the indelible ink on the index finger.
Not making a fuss about it, Ajith went ahead and voted and showed a great presence of mind and a bit of his great upbringing by not showing that particular finger (as showing the middle-finger is taken as an indecent expression of one’s views) but the entire hand!
