63 rd National Awards 2016 Winners List

63rd National Awards 2016: The National Awards for the year 2016 were announced today. Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut bagged the top honours for their roles in ‘Piku’ and ‘Tanu weds Manu Returns’ respectively. The recommendations for the 63rd National Awards for films were handed over by the Director Ramesh Sippy, along with director/actor Satish Kaushik today to the Information and Broadcasting minister Arun Jaitley.  The ceremony will be held on 3rd May 2016. 63rd National Film Awards Complete Winners list :

National Awards will be awarded by the Government of India as an annual incentive for the making of artistic, competent and meaningful films. It will check the best films which were made across the country and will bestow the awards on the makers, actors and technicians every year. They have become the most coveted and prestigious awards in the country ever since its inception. Like every year, the 63rd National Film Awards were announced today. The awards will be presented by the Directorate of Film Festivals.
There are a lot of films which were considered like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’, ‘Piku’, ‘NH 10’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. Besides, Yesteryear Superstar Manoj Kumar shall be conferred upon with Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He will get Swarna Kamal, Rs 1 million (US$15,000) and a Shawl as an award prize.

  • Best Mizo Film: Kima’s Lode Beyond the Class
  • Best Haryanvi Film: Satrangi The Head Hunter bags
  • Best Manipuri Film: Eibusu Yaohanbiyu
  • Best Khasi Film: Onaatah
