The Online Video streaming platform Netflix on Tuesday confirmed that the Sacred Games 2 Full Web Series Premieres on Netflix from 15 August 2019. Actor Saif Ali Khan, who plays Sartaj Singh in the Sacred Games 2 Web series, will be seen embarking on a journey of self-discovery, struggling to solve the mystery of Gaitonde third father, and attempting to salvage his failed marriage, all while trying to save the Mumbai from a massacre, read the statement. In turn, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will come back as Ganesh Gaitonde, who, in his quest to re-establish his power and position as the king, sets up a new cartel far away from his land.
The official Twitter account of the streaming platform’s India chapter shared the Sacred Games 2 news, along with the Sacred Games season 2 Trailer of the series. “The game’s bigger, the stakes are higher, and the players are ready. Sacred Games 2 premieres 15 August, only on Netflix,” the description of the just over 2 minute-long video on YouTube read. Batya Abelman (Kalki Koechlin) and Shahid Khan (Ranvir Shorey), the new characters joining the world of Sacred Games, will surprise the audience by adding numerous twists to the tale.
A Based on the voluminous novel by acclaimed writer Vikram Chandra and helmed by celebrated directors Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, The Sacred Games is Netflix’s first locally produced original series. The action drama features actors such as Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte among others. The new season will also feature actors such as Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey.
